My brother is back. He had a long “vacation” in Suriname. Long story, here is the short version. He went to Suriname in July 2006 on vacation. There was a problem with his papers so he couldn’t come back to the Netherlands. Suriname being our native country, he didn’t have to much problems. Our mother still lives there and we still have a lot of friends over there. So finding a temporary job wasn’t such a problem. But he always wanted to come back to finish his studies. Now he is finally back.
Now the two brothers are reunited. Okey not really. The lucky guy came here and within a week he was offered a job. A project with an architect he was already working for when he left. The problem is it takes up most of his time. I’m glad for him, he’s doing what he’s back to finish his studies and along the way he’s doing a job he likes.
I just wish he had a little more time for his big brother. I haven’t seen him for almost a year. We have a lot to catch up. We have a lot to do and talk about. So as soon as he has some free time, it’s time for the brothers to have some brotherly time.

Hoe is het met je?
Je kent mij vast niet meer. Maar ik ken jou wel. Ik heb namelijk samen met Rob Op de AMS gezeten. Hij heet toch Rob van Kanten. of iets dergelijks. het is leuk om wat van je te vernemen. Ik had van Revati Singh vernomen dat je broer hier was. Maar toen ik dat hoorde was hij reeds vertrokken. ik heb ook iets dergelijks gehoord van zijn problemen. Doe hem maar de groeten voor me. Je kent me vast niet, maar ik ben 1 keer thuis bij je geweest. Het was namelijk toen je vader gestorven was. Maar bye the way het is prettig iets van jullie te vernemen. Tang boeng.
