I’m glad I moderate comments before posting them. Today I got 22 spam comments. A lot sexually related. I’ve worked with and on the internet for a while now so I’m used to getting spam. In my mail, guest books, forums and not my blog. The spam messages are sexual most of the time. Penis enlargements, Herbal Viagra, free girls waiting, but also how to make easy money etc. I never bother to read the whole message. Most of the times reading the subject is enough to know it’s spam and delete it.
I don’t really get these messages. A lot of advertisements for fake products. If you have a real product and somehow want to let the public know about it I can understand. I don’t approve but I understand. What do you have to gain by advertising non exciting product? I understand all the mechanics behind spamming. But I never understood the motives behind it. I guess I never will.
Is there anybody out there that really reads the spam messages??

You mean.. that Herbal Viagra actually doesn’t enlarge my penis?!
Well I be d….. I’m gonna send an email to them right away to complain!
